bringing wellness AND RECOVERY to a new level

Health Benefits of Infrared Sauna Therapy

  • Healthy Weight Loss
    • Cellulite Reduction
    • Burn 300-900 Calories
    • Increase Metabolism for 12 Hours
    • Increase Energy Level
    • As much as 300-900 calories are burned during one short sauna session of 20-30 minutes by sending more blood to the capillaries converting fats and carbohydrates. Although weight loss from perspiration (water loss) is quickly regained through water hydration, the calories are not.  Many people who have unsuccessfully tried many diets often find success with an infrared sauna because it eliminates chemicals stored in the fat cells.  This makes safe weight loss much easier.  Infrared saunas assist safe weight loss by reducing heavy metals directly related to metabolic imbalances in the body which cause improper digestion and weight gain.  Fat stored toxins are also decreased with infrared sauna use.

    • Experience a noticeable reduction of pain and swelling in just a few sessions! Sauna therapy is an ancient treatment for pain relief.  It has an extensive history and is an important part of the healing process.  An infrared sauna elevates your core temperature dilating the capillaries, arterioles and venues. During this deep heating process your muscles, joints and soft tissue experience relief and healing.  Boosted blood circulation carries off metabolic waste products, transporting oxygen rich blood to depleted muscles and joints. Infrared energy released by an infrared sauna penetrates 1.5” to 2” deep into muscle tissue.  Our skin absorbs 93% of infrared energy.  Heating these tissues relieves pain via reduction of attendant or secondary muscle spasms.  Evidence suggests when used 24-48 hours post injury, infrared energy reduces the recovery time of sprains and strains.  Pain related to ischemia from tension or spasm can be improved by the hyperthermia produced by heat-induced vasodilation, thus breaking the feedback loop which lead to further spasm and pain.

    • Saunas increase heart rate and blood circulation, detoxify the body in unique and important ways. Saunas accomplish detoxification in the following manner:  A layer of fat and oil exists just below the skin’s surface.  The sauna’s infrared heat increases skin temperature, causing those fats and oils to “melt” out of the skin’s oil glands. As sweat and oil are secreted, the toxins dissolved in them are secreted as well.  By excreting these toxins your toxic load is lowered and cellular health improves.
  • Cardiovascular Health
    • Congestive Heart Failure
    • Atherosclerosis
    • Hypertension
    • High/Low Blood Pressure
    • Circulatory Issues
    • High Cholesterol
    • Maintaining blood pressure levels within a normal range eases your heart and blood vessel’s workload.  We empower ourselves when maintaining healthy blood pressure and a healthy heart.  Infrared saunas are a promising therapy for people who are otherwise incapable of exerting themselves or do not follow an exercise or conditioning program to attain cardiovascular training.
  • Chronic Fatigue/Depression
    • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is often characterized by a deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals. Often, the end result in an excessive accumulation of mercury and other toxic heavy metals in various organs of the body. The positive infrared energy provided by natural sunlight as well as infrared saunas are often prescribed to treat seasonal mood disorders and depression by providing the vitamins needed to give them the mental, hormonal, and emotional adjustment they may lack.
  • Stress Relief and Relaxation
    • You will experience increased circulation triggering endorphin release and loosening tight muscles.  When we are stressed we actually tense our muscles as we hurry through our day or worry about outcomes.  Holding tension in our bodies works as a heavy weight of premature aging. We burden our nervous system, muscle tissue, cardiovascular, respiratory, and our elimination system with our relentless stress level, fast paced diet and irregular sleep patterns.
  • Beautification of the Skin
    • When you use an infrared sauna, you will notice a softer smoother you! Many users report improved skin tone, texture, and elasticity.  By sitting in an infrared sauna, the increased blood circulation to the skin brings fresh nutrients to the surface.  At the same time, sweating assists toxin removal of accumulations deep within your pores from make-up, dirt, lotions and conditioners.
  • Sinus and Chronic Ear Infections
    • Infrared Sauna Therapy sessions open nasal passages, assisting the sinuses in draining and preventing infections to the middle ear.
